In the middle of a pandemic, the well-being fitness and health centre, cannot open. However how can you remain Body Happy?
However, we can still stay fit.
... Do's!
- Walk around the near area, for between 10 to 20 minutes. Any type of walk however, a speed walk will increase your heart rate and therefore increase oxygenated blood flow.
- If you have a stability ball (suggested exercises), then try sitting for a while using it to keep your stomach muscles, working.
- Stretching and at home movement. Even if you sit in your chair, each 20 minutes, stretch down and attempt to touch your toes. It all helps.
- If you have stairs then walk up and down each hour. It might appear boring yet it will get the blood moving. Otherwise, walk around your room, five times each hour.
- Keep routine ... wake up early ... sensible breakfast ... move as much as you can ... keep to only healthy food options (fruits and vegetables) ... attempt early nights.

- If you see groups of people in the park, seafront, on the general walk, then wait. If everyone in their bubble, walks at the same time then the virus will spread.
- If you are feeling full of cold yet do not think that it is the virus, stay at home! Do not risk your own health or that of your community. Stay self-isolating for 14 days from the last person in the household that felt unwell. Think community!
- Do not over exercise on long walks or runs ... all in moderation and especially at this time!
- Junk foods, snacks (other than with a calorie controlled diet) are a definitely a, no no!! Remember that you must eat sensibly at all times however that you are not moving as much as normal!
- Most especially, ... do not beat yourself up over any deemed 'wrong' decision or missed exercise!
